About The Role

Eqvilent is a fast‑growing product‑focused startup building high‑performance compute platforms for quantitative research and AI model training. As a Linux Infrastructure Engineer, you will design, deploy, and optimize bare‑metal and clustered Linux environments across multiple data centers, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance. You’ll work hands‑on with virtualization, storage, GPU clusters, and automation tools to support critical workloads for our research teams.

Responsibilities

Deploy, configure, and maintain bare-metal Linux servers across multiple data centers.
Build and manage clustered environments including virtualization, storage, GPU compute, and database clusters.
Troubleshoot complex Linux, hardware, networking, and cluster-level issues and perform performance tuning.
Monitor infrastructure health, identify bottlenecks, and implement automation for reliability.
Own end-to-end server lifecycle from provisioning to upgrades and decommissioning.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with Linux system administration on bare-metal and virtualized environments.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python or Perl for automation.
  • Solid understanding of networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, L2/L3) and storage technologies.
  • Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef) and monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related engineering discipline.
