About The Role

Canonical, the company behind Ubuntu, is a leading open‑source software provider enabling enterprises to adopt AI/ML solutions. As an MLOps Field Engineer you will design and present scalable ML architectures, guide customers through proof‑of‑concepts, and drive adoption of Ubuntu‑based MLOps platforms across cloud and on‑prem environments. You will collaborate with global sales teams, provide technical training, and troubleshoot complex data pipelines, ensuring customers achieve operational excellence with open‑source tools.

Responsibilities

Design end‑to‑end ML architectures on Kubernetes for enterprise customers.
Conduct presales technical demos and workshops showcasing Ubuntu, Kubeflow and related MLOps tools.
Collaborate with sales leads to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.
Provide on‑site/remote training and troubleshooting for MLOps pipelines.
Assist in proof‑of‑concept deployments and performance tuning.

Requirements

  • Strong Linux administration and Kubernetes orchestration skills.
  • Hands‑on experience with Kubeflow, MLflow, Feast or DVC.
  • Proficiency in at least one public cloud (AWS, GCP or Azure).
  • Excellent communication and presales presentation abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering with 2‑4 years of relevant experience.
