About The Role

Infosys, a leading global IT services provider, is seeking a Cloud Field Engineer to help enterprises adopt private and public cloud infrastructures. You will design end‑to‑end solutions on Linux, OpenStack and Kubernetes, develop automation in Python, and deliver hands‑on consulting to customers worldwide. The role blends architecture, development, and mentorship, offering remote work flexibility with occasional travel for client engagements.

Responsibilities

Design and implement private and public cloud solutions using OpenStack, Kubernetes, Ceph, Hadoop, Spark.

Develop automation scripts and Kubernetes operators in Python for infrastructure-as-code.

Diagnose and troubleshoot Linux stack issues across kernel, networking, storage, and applications.

Conduct technical workshops, coaching, and knowledge transfer for customers and internal teams.

Collaborate with global customers, travel up to 25% for on‑site engagements, and promote engineering culture.

Requirements

B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA in Computer Science or related field.
Strong hands‑on experience with Linux system administration and networking.
Proficiency in Python programming for automation and tool development.
Experience designing and deploying cloud solutions on OpenStack or Kubernetes.
Familiarity with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration.
