About The Role

As a Deep Learning Research Engineer in our Bangalore hybrid team, you will pioneer advanced AI models that power autonomous interviewers and fraud detection systems. You’ll work on cutting‑edge neural architectures, fine‑tune large models, and translate research into scalable products that reshape the future of technical hiring.

Responsibilities

Conduct end‑to‑end research, design and implementation of novel deep learning models for AI‑driven interview automation.

Develop and evaluate alternative neural architectures such as SSMs, LNNs, and hybrid transformer models.

Fine‑tune large language models using PEFT techniques (LoRA, QLoRA) and apply knowledge distillation for efficient inference.

Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate models into HackerRank’s hiring platform and monitor performance at scale.

Publish research findings and contribute to open‑source tools within the organization.

Requirements

Strong fundamentals in deep learning, neural network architectures and optimization, with 2+ years of hands‑on experience.
Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and experience with large‑scale model training.
Experience in building and deploying transformer‑based or alternative models (SSM, LNN) in production environments.
Solid understanding of machine learning pipelines, data preprocessing, and model evaluation metrics.
Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 2020‑2024 graduation.
