About The Role

Rackner, a leading service‑based defense technology firm, is hiring a remote R&D DevSecOps Engineer to build secure, AI‑enabled mission software for government customers. The role blends backend development, generative AI integration, and robust DevSecOps pipelines, ensuring compliance with stringent security standards while delivering innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

Build backend services, APIs, data workflows and AI-enabled applications.
Develop model‑agnostic coding agents and LLM workflows with auditability and human approval.
Enforce security, testing and deployment standards via automated CI/CD policies.
Create technical documentation, architecture diagrams and software bills of materials.
Collaborate with platform, cybersecurity and mission teams to transition R&D prototypes to production.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in Python/Go/Java for backend development.
  • Hands‑on expertise with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Deep understanding of DevSecOps practices, security scanning and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience building AI‑assisted tools or integrating LLMs into development pipelines.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
