About The Role

Rackner, a leading defense technology provider, is seeking a Frontend Software Engineer to create secure, high‑impact mission‑planning tools. The role involves building responsive React interfaces, integrating geospatial visualizations, and ensuring robust security practices. Candidates will collaborate with AI/ML, backend, and security teams to deliver mission‑critical software for government customers.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and integrate frontend features using React and TypeScript.

Build responsive, map‑based visualizations with Cesium for mission planning.

Integrate frontend components with FastAPI/Flask services and ensure secure data handling.

Write automated unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews.

Document workflows, design decisions, and interface specifications.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Minimum four years of professional frontend development experience.
Proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript.
Hands‑on experience with geospatial libraries such as Cesium.
Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
