About The Role
Canonical, the company behind Ubuntu, is a leading open‑source product‑based organization with a global footprint. As a Junior Linux Kernel Engineer, you will join the Canonical Kernel Team to design, develop, and harden the Ubuntu kernel across servers, cloud, and embedded devices. You’ll work remotely with a distributed team, contribute to high‑impact projects, and travel twice a year for on‑site engineering events, gaining deep kernel expertise.

Requirements
- Strong proficiency in C programming and understanding of Linux kernel internals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related engineering, 2022-2025 passouts.
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and Linux development environment.
- Ability to debug kernel issues using tools like GDB, KGDB, or perf.
- Good communication skills for remote collaboration.
