About The Role

SingleStore is a product‑based company delivering a cloud‑native distributed SQL database that powers data‑intensive applications worldwide. As a Software Engineer in the Database Engine team, you will own end‑to‑end development of core database components, optimize performance, and ensure reliability while collaborating across product, marketing, and sales to drive real‑time technology impact.

Responsibilities

Design and develop core components of the distributed SQL database engine.
Optimize query execution using SIMD, LLVM code generation, and indexing techniques.
Implement fault‑tolerance and high‑availability features for SingleStore clusters.
Write unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews.
Collaborate with product, marketing and sales teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Requirements

  • B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
  • Strong proficiency in C++ (or C) programming.
  • Solid understanding of operating systems, concurrency, multithreading and server architectures.
  • Good grasp of algorithms, data structures and complexity analysis.
  • Ability to build reliable, high‑performance software.
