About The Role
AssetWatch is a remote‑first startup delivering predictive maintenance solutions through advanced condition monitoring. As a Security & Trust Engineer, you will safeguard customer data, drive SOC 2 compliance, and act as the security champion in customer engagements, ensuring trust and resilience across the platform.
Responsibilities
Join customer and prospect calls as the security subject matter expert to articulate AssetWatch's security posture and compliance.
Own end‑to‑end responses to security questionnaires (SIG, CAIQ, custom) and RFP security sections.
Maintain and continuously improve the SOC 2 Type 2 compliance program using tools like Vanta.
Implement and manage endpoint protection, identity & access management, vulnerability scanning, and vendor risk assessments.
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to embed security controls into cloud‑first AWS infrastructure.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of cloud security (AWS) and IAM concepts.
- Hands‑on experience with SOC 2 compliance, security questionnaires, and audit evidence management.
- Proficiency in vulnerability management tools and endpoint protection solutions.
- Solid knowledge of networking, encryption, and secure software development practices.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers, sales, and internal stakeholders.
