About The Role

Rackner is a leading service‑based defense technology firm delivering secure AI solutions for national‑security missions. As an AI/ML Engineer on the Generative AI Mission Systems team, you will translate cutting‑edge generative‑AI research into reliable, secure software components, collaborating across AI, cybersecurity and DevSecOps to enable mission‑critical decision support for US defense customers, all while working remotely from India.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test and integrate LLM‑enabled AI capabilities into secure mission‑planning software.
Build retrieval‑augmented generation and agentic‑AI workflows and maintain inference pipelines.
Create and refine prompts, system instructions and evaluate AI outputs for reliability and mission usefulness.
Collaborate with cybersecurity, DevSecOps and backend teams to embed AI components into existing decision‑support processes.
Demonstrate prototypes, gather feedback and support integration testing.

Requirements

  • Active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Hands‑on experience with large language models, prompt engineering and retrieval‑augmented generation.
  • Strong understanding of software security, DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA in Computer Science, AI, ML or related field.
