About The Role

Eqvilent is a fast‑growing fintech startup specializing in ultra‑low‑latency trading platforms. As an FPGA Developer, you will design and optimize high‑performance hardware accelerators that power our proprietary trading systems, collaborating with software engineers, quantitative researchers, and traders. This remote role offers the chance to work on cutting‑edge technology that directly impacts market execution speed and profitability. You will also contribute to system monitoring and continuous performance enhancements.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize FPGA-based solutions for ultra‑low‑latency trading systems.

Integrate FPGA modules with software stacks and system architectures.

Implement hardware‑accelerated protocol parsing, order entry, and market‑data processing.

Perform timing analysis, resource optimization, and latency measurement to achieve peak performance.

Monitor, troubleshoot, and fine‑tune system performance in live trading environments.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
Proficiency in VHDL/Verilog and FPGA design tools (Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus).
Strong understanding of timing analysis, timing closure, and resource optimization.
Experience with high‑frequency trading protocols (FIX, ITCH) and hardware‑accelerated data processing.
Programming skills in C/C++ and Python for verification and integration.
