About The Role

Canonical, the global leader behind Ubuntu, empowers enterprises with open‑source solutions across cloud, AI, IoT and edge. As an Alliances Field Engineer, you will enable top‑tier partners such as Intel, Nvidia and Dell to adopt and co‑sell Ubuntu‑based offerings, delivering technical guidance, demos and joint solution designs while shaping the partner ecosystem. You will work closely with product and sales teams to translate partner requirements into actionable roadmaps, and represent Canonical at global events and webinars.

Responsibilities

Drive technical enablement for OEM, GSI and ISV partners on Ubuntu and related open‑source stack.
Collaborate with partner engineering teams to design and implement joint go‑to‑market solutions.
Provide deep troubleshooting, proof‑of‑concepts and demos for cloud, Kubernetes and AI/ML workloads.
Act as the primary technical liaison, delivering training and documentation to partner sales and support.
Gather feedback from partners to influence product roadmap.

Requirements

  • Strong Linux/Ubuntu administration and kernel knowledge.
  • Hands‑on experience with public/private cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
