About The Role

Safe is a fast‑growing AI‑driven cybersecurity startup backed by $170M Series C funding, serving 10% of the Fortune 500. As a Software Development Engineer I in New Delhi, you will build core backend services that power real‑time security posture insights, work alongside elite engineers, and contribute to a product that defines a new category in enterprise security.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services for the AI‑driven cybersecurity platform.
Write clean, testable code and unit/integration tests to ensure high reliability.
Collaborate with product, data science and security teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Participate in code reviews and adopt best‑practice engineering standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with a focus on Tier‑1 quality.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Java or Python with strong OOP concepts.
  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms and problem‑solving.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
  • Basic knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals and networking concepts.
