About The Role

At Samsara, a leading IoT product company, we empower physical operations through a Connected Operations Cloud. As a Network Engineer II in Bengaluru, you will join the Business Technology Core IT team to design, maintain, and optimize our global Cisco Meraki infrastructure, ensuring reliable connectivity for cross‑functional teams. You’ll collaborate with senior engineers, provide tier‑1/2 support, and contribute to scaling network solutions for a fast‑growing organization.

Responsibilities

Design, configure, and maintain Cisco Meraki network devices across global sites.
Monitor network performance, troubleshoot tier-1 and tier-2 incidents, and ensure high availability.
Collaborate with operations and IT teams to implement network changes and security policies.
Conduct capacity planning, firmware upgrades, and documentation of network topology.
Provide technical support and training to internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience with Cisco networking (Meraki, IOS) and LAN/WAN technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) and VPNs.
  • Hands‑on experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, NetFlow) and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to script automation tasks using Python or Bash.
