About The Role
Smarsh, a global leader in compliance and risk management solutions, is expanding its Bangalore engineering hub. As a Software Engineer IV, you will drive AI/ML integration projects, enhance high‑throughput data pipelines, and ensure robust observability across the Cognition platform. Responsibilities
Embed within product teams to deliver end‑to‑end AI/ML integrations and API orchestration
Produce structured handover artefacts including merged PRs, architecture notes and runbooks
Implement and extend integration patterns such as Kafka pipelines, RESTful contracts and mailbox services
Own and scale the Cognition v3 architecture handling high‑volume data pre‑ and post‑processing
Instrument services with Prometheus and Grafana to maintain observability and reliability
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin or Java with clean, well‑tested code
- Hands‑on experience with Kafka, RESTful APIs and CI/CD pipelines
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Expertise in building observability using Prometheus, Grafana and logging frameworks
- Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience in large‑scale distributed systems
