About The Role

Databricks, a leading unified data‑analytics platform, is expanding its AI Forward Deployed Engineering team in India. As an AI Engineer – FDE, you will design and ship cutting‑edge GenAI solutions, guide customers through production deployments, and influence product strategy. The role blends deep technical expertise with client‑facing consulting, offering exposure to the latest LLMOps innovations and high‑impact projects across diverse industries.

Responsibilities

Develop cutting‑edge GenAI solutions leveraging Databricks AI research to address customer challenges
Own end‑to‑end production rollouts of consumer‑facing and internal GenAI applications
Serve as trusted technical advisor, presenting solutions and thought leadership at conferences and client workshops
Collaborate with product, engineering and developer relations teams to influence roadmap and strategic priorities

Requirements

  • Proven experience building GenAI applications (RAG, multi‑agent, Text2SQL, fine‑tuning) using HuggingFace, LangChain or DSPy
  • Strong hands‑on expertise in deploying production‑grade ML models on AWS, Azure or GCP
  • Deep knowledge of ML libraries such as PyTorch, pandas, scikit‑learn and data‑science pipelines
  • Graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or related quantitative field
  • Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders
