About The Role

Nium is a fast-growing global fintech delivering cross-border payment infrastructure to banks and enterprises. Backed by $50 million Series E funding and operating in 190+ countries, Nium is scaling its data platform on AWS. As a Data Engineer II in Mumbai, you will build and migrate robust data pipelines, enable real-time analytics, and partner with product and engineering teams to power the world’s payments ecosystem.

Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable ETL pipelines on AWS using Airflow, Redshift and dbt.

Migrate legacy on-prem data workloads to cloud, ensuring data quality and performance.

Collaborate with product, analytics and engineering teams to translate business requirements into data solutions.

Implement real-time data streaming pipelines with Kafka and monitor data workflows.

Optimize data models and storage for cost-effective analytics.

Requirements

Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
Hands-on experience with AWS data services (Redshift, S3, Glue).
Production-grade knowledge of Apache Airflow and Kafka.
Data modeling and ETL pipeline development using dbt.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
