About The Role

Crunchyroll, a global leader in anime streaming, is expanding its Service Monetization team in Hyderabad. As a Software Engineer, you will architect and enhance the subscription and payments platform, ensuring high performance and seamless user experiences. You will work closely with cross‑functional stakeholders, contribute to code reviews, and drive data‑driven decisions to boost revenue and fan engagement.

Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable backend services for the subscription and payments platform.

Optimize performance and reliability of monetization APIs.

Collaborate with product, design, data and QA teams to deliver features.

Implement monitoring, logging and incident response processes.

Drive continuous improvement and technical excellence.

Requirements

2+ years of backend software development experience.
Proficiency in Java, GoLang, Python, PHP, TypeScript or Node.js.
Hands‑on experience with AWS services such as API Gateway, Lambda, EC2, RDS, ECS.
Strong knowledge of relational (Postgres/MariaDB) and NoSQL (DynamoDB/MongoDB) databases.
Experience with operational excellence, on‑call rotations and incident management.
