About The Role

Portcast, a venture‑backed logistics technology startup, offers a real‑time transportation visibility platform that transforms supply‑chain data into actionable insights. Based in Bangalore, the company seeks a Data Analyst to ensure the highest data quality for its predictive engine. The role involves anomaly detection, root‑cause analysis, and automation of reporting using Python and SQL, working closely with data science, engineering and product teams to drive reliable, data‑driven outcomes.

Responsibilities

Own end‑to‑end documentation, reporting and root‑cause analysis of prediction issues.
Analyze ingested and system‑generated data to detect anomalies, trace sources and implement fixes.
Build and automate data quality dashboards, performance reviews and visualizations using Python and SQL.
Collaborate with Data Science, Engineering, Product and Commercial teams to ensure high‑quality data pipelines.
Drive process improvements and automation to reduce manual data validation effort.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Hands‑on experience with Python (pandas, NumPy) for data cleaning and automation.
  • Understanding of data quality concepts and ability to perform root‑cause analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or related field, 2020‑2024 passouts.
  • Excellent problem‑solving mindset and strong communication skills.
