About The Role
Join our Data Ingestion Team as a Junior Backend Engineer and grow your skills building high-throughput data processing systems. Collaborate with a senior team to develop and maintain backend services for our data ingestion platform.
Responsibilities
Software Development: Work under the guidance of senior engineers to develop and maintain backend services for our data ingestion platform.
Engineering Support: Support the team in applying strong engineering practices including writing automated tests, participating in code reviews, and maintaining observability.
Proactive Learning: Proactively ask questions, propose small improvements, and collaborate with the team to deliver clean, testable code for our platform services.
Knowledge Sharing: Participate in technical discussions, contribute to internal documentation, and help us maintain a transparent knowledge base.
Development Contribution: Contribute to infrastructure development tasks and participate in technical demos to showcase your work.
Shadow and Respond: Shadow on-call rotations and assist in troubleshooting efforts to learn incident response protocols.
Observability Support: Learn to maintain and use observability solutions (metrics, logging, tracing) to help the team track platform SLO.
Requirements
- B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA
- Strong understanding of software development principles and practices
- Experience with backend services development
- Knowledge of data ingestion and processing systems
- Familiarity with observability solutions (metrics, logging, tracing)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies
