The File and Block Storage Infrastructure team plays a vital role in maintaining cloud storage systems that support Apple's ecosystem. Engineers at Apple work on cutting-edge technologies, large-scale distributed systems, and cloud-native platforms while contributing to products and services that impact users worldwide.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure and storage platform components

Contribute to file and block storage reliability, scalability, and performance initiatives

Build and improve software tools for provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and system management

Collaborate with engineering teams to solve infrastructure and reliability challenges

Write high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code for cloud-based services

Participate in debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization activities

Work with open-source, commercial, and internally developed cloud infrastructure tools

Support automation, operational excellence, and continuous service improvement initiatives

Requirements

0–18 months of experience in software programming or infrastructure engineering
Strong programming fundamentals and analytical problem-solving skills
Good understanding of data structures and algorithms
Ability to write code in one or more programming languages
Understanding of software engineering principles and distributed systems concepts
Strong ownership mindset and willingness to learn new technologies
Ability to work effectively in collaborative team environments
Passion for building scalable and reliable cloud services
