Responsibilities

Work closely with mentors to design, develop, and maintain software using Python, Golang, or similar programming languages.

Contribute to adding new features and improvements in Red Hat products such as RHEL and OpenShift.

Debug, identify, and track software issues across product components.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality Engineering, Product Management, Designers, and Documentation teams.

Participate in the full product lifecycle from development to testing and release.

Engage with other engineers and interns to share knowledge and ideas.

Gain hands-on experience in enterprise open-source software development.

Learn best practices in coding, debugging, and collaborative development environments.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (2025 or 2026 pass-out) in Computer Science, IT, Computer Applications, or related engineering/technology fields.
Basic knowledge of software development and programming fundamentals.
Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Golang, or similar technologies.
Passion for open-source technologies and software engineering.
Strong curiosity and desire to understand how systems work internally.
Good written and spoken English communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Willingness to learn and proactively contribute to engineering projects.
