About The Role

Drivetrain is a fast-growing product-based SaaS company focused on transforming Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) through modern technology and automation. The company builds intelligent financial platforms that help businesses streamline planning, forecasting, reporting, and decision-making. With increasing adoption of AI-driven analytics, Drivetrain is integrating Generative AI capabilities into its platform to enhance financial workflows and operational efficiency. This Engineering Intern – Gen AI for FP&A Platform (Remote, US) role offers students the opportunity to experiment with cutting-edge technologies such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agentic workflows, and Large Language Models (LLMs) while contributing to real product features.

Responsibilities

Develop and prototype Gen AI solutions using RAG, LLMs, and agentic workflows for FP&A use cases.
Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to integrate AI-powered features into the platform.
Design scalable algorithms and efficient data structures using strong computer science fundamentals.
Build end-to-end AI workflows and test them in real-world financial scenarios.
Document technical designs, architecture diagrams, and workflow implementations clearly.
Present findings, prototypes, and performance improvements to stakeholders.
Optimize system performance and ensure reliability of AI-driven features.
Contribute to experimentation, evaluation, and improvement of AI outputs.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Strong understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, and system design.
  • Familiarity with RAG, Agentic AI, and LLM concepts.
  • Ability to build and demonstrate end-to-end AI/ML projects.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-driven mindset with ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
