This Software Development Engineer Intern role in Ann Arbor (Hybrid) provides students with hands-on exposure to production-grade systems while working alongside experienced engineers on impactful projects.

Responsibilities

Work as part of a product engineering team to design and develop new features.

Contribute to real-world systems deployed to millions of users globally.

Solve complex technical challenges in scalable and high-performance environments.

Collaborate with backend, frontend, data, and UX-focused engineers.

Participate in feature design, coding, testing, and deployment activities.

Requirements

Currently enrolled full-time in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Must be a current student at the University of Michigan or surrounding colleges and available onsite in Ann Arbor.
Experience in programming languages such as C++, Java, Python, Scala, or C#.
Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and problem-solving.
Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
Strong sense of ownership and accountability for projects.
Good communication skills and collaborative mindset.
Passion for coding and building scalable systems.
