Responsibilities

Assist in building and maintaining backend services and APIs for web and mobile applications.
Work with relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases like MongoDB and Redis.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented backend code under guidance.
Contribute to authentication, authorization, and core backend security features.
Collaborate with product, frontend, and QA teams to deliver complete features.
Participate in code reviews and improve code quality based on feedback.
Debug issues, write unit/integration tests, and maintain system performance.
Learn CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and deployment processes.
Use tools like Docker and explore cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Gain exposure to GraphQL, WebSockets, or messaging systems like Kafka/RabbitMQ when needed.

Requirements

  • 1 to 2 years of backend development experience (internships/projects/freelance/open-source).
  • Familiarity with at least one backend language such as JavaScript, Python, Java, or Go.
  • Basic understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, server-side logic, and backend workflows.
  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases with strong CRUD understanding.
  • Familiarity with Git and standard development practices.
  • Willingness to learn scalability, security, and asynchronous programming concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to take feedback positively.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment.
