The Software Engineer 1 – AI Quality role in India is an exciting opportunity for early-career engineers who want to work at the intersection of AI, testing, automation, and product reliability while contributing to next-generation GenAI and agentic systems.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute test plans for Generative AI features, including prompt testing and output validation.
Design evaluation frameworks to measure AI output quality, accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
Write automated test scripts to validate AI behavior, edge cases, and performance.
Perform manual and automated testing while documenting issues clearly.
Collaborate with product stakeholders to understand requirements and identify quality risks early.
Use AI evaluation tools like AWS Bedrock evaluations, LangSmith, or custom testing solutions.
Contribute to AI quality standards, best practices, and LLM testing methodologies.
Monitor AI system behavior in development and production environments to detect anomalies.
Create detailed documentation, including test results, evaluation criteria, and quality reports.
Stay updated with emerging trends in AI QA and LLM evaluation techniques.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or related field.
  • Strong foundation in DSA, debugging, APIs, and SDLC/QA principles.
  • Hands-on coding experience in Python.
  • Understanding of testing methodologies like functional and integration testing.
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to evaluate AI outputs critically.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate using tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn AI quality metrics and prompt evaluation methods.
