Responsibilities

Architect, design, and build robust backend services and RESTful APIs using Golang and Python (FastAPI/Flask).
Develop high-performance server-side systems that power Plivo’s core AI agent and communication platforms.
Design and maintain scalable data layers using PostgreSQL and caching solutions such as Redis.
Collaborate closely with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment, monitoring, and performance optimization in cloud environments.
Work with cross-functional teams including product managers, frontend engineers, and backend developers to deliver new features.
Identify system bottlenecks and optimize backend services to handle increasing traffic and user demand.
Apply security best practices to protect sensitive data and meet compliance requirements.
Leverage AI-assisted tools and modern engineering practices to improve developer productivity and service quality.
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and code reviews.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code while continuously improving backend architecture.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in backend development using Golang or Python with frameworks like FastAPI or Flask.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API design and backend system architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and Redis.
  • Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced product environments.
