About The Role

Stripe is one of the world’s leading financial infrastructure platforms, powering online payments, commerce, and digital transactions for millions of businesses across the globe. The company is known for building elegant, scalable, and secure systems that enable startups and global enterprises to accept payments, manage financial operations, and accelerate economic growth.

With engineering teams in Bengaluru, Stripe continues to expand its global footprint, offering new graduates a unique opportunity to work on complex, high-impact systems that shape the future of internet commerce. As a Software Engineering New Grad, you’ll be part of a collaborative environment that values curiosity, ownership, and technical excellence.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will work on cross-functional projects and collaborate directly with other engineers across teams. You will participate actively in code reviews, providing meaningful feedback on technical designs and implementation details.
A major part of your work will involve ensuring the reliability, stability, and scalability of systems operated by your team. You will help build solutions that support Stripe’s global user base while maintaining high performance and fault tolerance.
This position allows you to develop project ownership skills—from ideation to deployment—allowing you to grow both technical and leadership capabilities.
You will also gain exposure to Stripe’s engineering practices and learn how to navigate complex distributed systems through hands-on work, mentorship, and collaboration.

Requirements

  • To qualify, candidates must be pursuing or have recently completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field, graduating by summer 2026, or possess equivalent work experience.
  • You should have foundational experience with programming through coursework, internships, or personal projects. Stripe primarily uses Java, Ruby, JavaScript, Scala, and Go, but strong programming fundamentals matter more than experience in specific languages.
  • Experience working collaboratively on multi-person coding assignments—either professionally or in an academic setting—is required.
  • You must also be comfortable learning unfamiliar systems, performing independent research, and seeking mentorship when needed.
