The Software Security Engineer role in Bangalore offers an opportunity to work at the intersection of software engineering and security, protecting large-scale systems used by millions of users daily.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain internal security tooling, pipelines, and integrations for SAST, DAST, SCA, and secrets scanning.
Automate security workflows and repetitive test cases using Python, Go, or Node.js.
Develop APIs and dashboards that provide real-time security telemetry and insights.
Integrate security checks into CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.
Write production-quality code that improves the overall security posture across repositories.
Partner with developers to create secure-by-default libraries, SDKs, and frameworks.
Drive threat modeling and security design reviews for new features and systems.
Perform and automate web, API, and mobile application security testing.
Triage vulnerabilities, reduce false positives, and prioritize remediation through automation.
Promote a strong security culture through documentation, workshops, and developer enablement.

Requirements

  • B.Tech or M.Tech in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience in software development and application security.
  • Strong coding skills in Python, Java, Go, or Node.js.
  • Solid understanding of web technologies, RESTful APIs, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with security tools such as Burp, Nuclei, ZAP, Trivy, or Semgrep.
  • Knowledge of cloud security fundamentals (AWS/GCP), Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Strong debugging, system design, and communication skills.
